I love what I do! I like helping others understand the risks we all can potentially face every day and how to minimize the monetary impact of those risks. It is more than a job to me, it’s a calling that I enjoy with each and every interaction. I have lived in Kansas for the past 28 years after having grown tired of the beautiful year round weather I grew up with in Southern California, and Maui. It did not take me long to become a KC Chiefs and Royals fan. I enjoy spending time with my husband and children. I love seeing live music, traveling, sunshine and relaxing on the beach and lake. ~ Susan

After 4 years of service in the Air Force I started working in my Dad’s State Farm Agency and I stayed there for over 30 years until he retired at the end of 2019. I am very happy to be working with a great group of people here at Steve Fisher Insurance. I love my job and I love being able to help people whether it is a claim or just being able to figure out their insurance needs. When I am not working, I love hanging out with my family and friends either watching the Chiefs, tailgating, cooking, wineries and antique shopping or just relaxing in the country with my dogs. ~Lori

As a marketing major I’m excited to have joined the State Farm Steve Fisher team last year! I was originally a State Farm Company employee after graduating for Pittsburg State University and remained in that position as an auto claims rep for approximately 7 years. In between that time I lived in Atlanta for a decade and then moved back to Kansas City in 2011. My 3 daughters were born in Atlanta and are my Georgia peaches. You could say that State Farm has ran in my blood for many years. It feels like coming home to join such a fantastic servicing and marketing team down here in southern Overland Park, KS. I am responsible for outside marketing and spend most of my time out of the office building relationships. When I’m not working you’ll find me covered in dirt at the farm. I excitedly joined Steve’s team in September 2021. I was born and raised right here in KC, but after several relocations, I found myself itching to get back to the area to be close to family again. Finding Steve’s office, with the opportunity to serve our local community, was exactly what I was looking for. Insurance is necessary to protect our assets and our family, but not all policies are the same, so I truly enjoy getting to know our customers and meeting them where they are in life with the coverage they need. Outside of the office, my own family continues to keep me busy with their sports and activities, so on the rare occasion that I’m not cheering them on or running them to and from, you might find me catching up with friends, behind a camera, crafting, rooting for our KC sports teams, taking in a concert...or simply relaxing.
