"Every insurance company has to practice cost containment to stay in business, but most also consider customer loyalty. Not Steve Fisher State Farm. I’ve had homeowners and auto with this agency for over 40 years and have had to fight them at every step. Had hail damage to a car—11 out of 16 identified body panels and they tried to only paint the affected areas. Had to threaten to change companies before they would paint the whole car. Then had a privacy fence blow over in a storm and they only paid for the half that actually blew down, not the entire damaged fence. So when the other half blew down later, then they paid…What? TWO DEDUCTIBLES! Now, with zero claims in over 20 years, every strong storm that comes through blows shingles off my roof, they simply won’t pay to replace it. Four different occasions with shingles in the yard and they send out the same “Independent” contractor to assess the condition and, surprise surprise, he says a $2000 repair is all that is needed which wouldn’t exceed the deductible. Plus, I’ve been a customer for 40+ years and I haven’t heard from Steve himself for over 20 years…so he doesn’t appear to care at all about long time clients."
